Watchlist: 2/18 Congress Crackdown, Oil Flys, Futures Slip, BTC Hodls

Market notes:

The first congressional hearing into the GME short squeeze and controversy is scheduled to start at noon today. The trader who started it all, Keith Gill, was slapped with a lawsuit yesterday. The last word is he will still testify.

Oil prices are up amid the energy crisis in Texas crude touched $65 per barrel.

Markets closed near flat yesterday. The DOW keeps sneaking in record highs while the SPY and Nasdaq move sideways. Bitcoin is holding above $50k still.

Futures are down this morning. I remain cautiously bullish, I won’t be getting aggressive today.
